Instructions for Authors

Each oral presentation will be allotted a time slot of 15 minutes, which shall be subdivided as follows:
• 12 minutes for the presentation itself (including conclusions);
• 3 minutes for questions and switching (changing presentation file and/or computer, announcement by chair, etc.).
In order to ensure that each speaker has equal time to present his/her paper, the session chairpersons will rigidly enforce the time allocated to the presentations.

All slides must be in English. We strongly recommend that the oral presentation be also in English
, but presentations in Portuguese, Spanish and Italian will also beaccepted, provided that the slides are in English. The number of non-English presentations should be kept to a minimum, as we encourage the authors to adopt English as the main conference language as much as possible.
All session rooms will be equipped with one laptop computer with Microsoft Windows and Adobe Reader 10.0.1, as well as a projector and screen. Authors are strongly encouraged to use the provided computers for their presentations. Authors are asked to copy their presentations to the respective session room´s computer long before the start of the session (ideally, one day in advance, or the coffee break before the session). Please do not let it for the last minute, as to avoid surprises (occasional problems will impart on the author´s 15 minutes allotted to his/her presentation).
Authors who wish to use his/her own computers are kindly asked to test the connection with the projector and screen in the respective session room long before the start of the session (ideally, one day in advance, or the coffee break before the session). Please do not let it for the last minute. Also, authors are requested to bring their own cables or adapters if they have special plugs in their computers. The use of authors´ own computers should be avoided whenever possible, in an attempt to minimize delays from on presentation to the next.
Committing to these guidelinesis extremely important in order to guarantee the overall presentation schedule, as well as to avoid frustrated slides, animations and other presentation resources that might potentially occur.
No-shows will be treated as an empty presentation slot, i.e., there will be no presentations at the respective time slot (the subsequent presentations will not be shifted up).

As with CILAMCE-2017, this edition of CILAMCE will feature the E-Poster (electronic posters), following our sustainable stance to reduce the amount of printed paper and tarp at events. With the E-Poster,instead of the oral presentation by the authors, the posters will be digitally displayed in modern digital-totems arranged in the main hall of the congress venue. This way, all participants have easy, dynamic and attractive access to all posters. Because the E-posters and the digital-totems are relatively new to CILAMCE, they deserve special attention from the interested authors. It is the entire responsibility of the authors to send the E-poster file (at its fullest content and resolution) to the email:  by November 4th. Also, the exhibition tool needs some attention.
Please read carefulley the technical details  in the templatel below to improve the presentation of  the authors without interfering much in the author’s creativity.

ONE DAY prior to your presentation, check in at your session room and upload your presentation at the room´s computer. Please check whether everything works fine with your slides.
AT THE DAY OF YOUR PRESENTATION, 10 minutes prior the beginning of your session, meet the session chairs and your fellow presenters in your assigned session room. This will allow you to check the presentation sequence, learn how to operate the audiovisual equipment, and be advised of the plan for time keeping.

Natal - Rio Grande do Norte

With beautiful beaches, white sand dune areas and a rich and diverse culture.

Leisure and entertainment

Natal offers its visitors a unique leisure and entertainment experience!

The city was thus named (“Natal” meaning “Christmas” in Portuguese) because, on December 25, 1597 , Admiral Antônio da Costa Valente and his men entered the shoals of the Potengi River, after several failed attempts at colonization. The date became the birthday of the capital of Rio Grande do Norte. With the strengthening of its economy and tourism, the city started to present an excellent quality of life and has a great urban structure, standing out among the capitals of Northeast Brazil.
